In December 2023, Kaikai Kiki began offering Furusato Nozei return gifts in conjunction with the Kyoto exhibition Takashi Murakami: Mononoke Kyoto. These gifts included admission tickets and limited-edition trading cards, which garnered significant attention and resulted in donations exceeding 500 million yen. In November 2024, Kaikai Kiki expanded its offerings to include a variety of art goods, such as exclusive cookies from the Kaikai Kiki-operated Tonari no Kaikado, as return gifts for Kyoto City. Looking forward, we aim to extend this initiative beyond Kyoto City, partnering with various municipalities to offer unique return gifts. This platform was established with the desire to make Takashi Murakami’s art goods more accessible and to contribute to the future development of local communities. About the “Kaikai Kiki Hometown Tax Donation” Platform: Our platform features return gifts from Kaikai Kiki’s own product lineup, enabling us to set the industry’s lowest listing fees. This allows for a greater portion of your donations to benefit local regions, providing a significant advantage for participating municipalities.
